Dudley Square Station Improvements

Roxbury, Massachusetts

 

The Arch Professional Group, Inc. was hired by McMahon Associates, Transportation Engineers and Planners, through the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) to investigate additional enhancements to Dudley Square Station and user amenities for rapid transit customers. Dudley Square Station is one of the top 5 rapid transit hubs in the MBTA system. The enhancements discussed in the scope of work included but were not limited to; waiting area improvements; bus shelter heating; customer information upgrades with schedules and maps; vendor area improvements and station visibility enhancements. The ARCH Professional Group, Inc. scope of work included conceptual planning, design and investigative stages. APG initiated their work with the MBTA and the surrounding community of stakeholders by identifying and documenting the short and long term goals of the MBTA and their rapid transit customers.
